Old Jewish Cemetery of Rudamina

Jews moved to Rudamina probably at the end of the 18th century. In 1800, there were about 50 Jews living in Rudamina. In 1900, there were more than 200 Jews. It is mentioned that at the end of the 18th century Jews leased the cemetery territory from the Gavronskis, the governors of Rudamina. The cemetery was enclosed by a stone wall fence. It is difficult to determine the exact number of remaining tombstones. Some of them are covered with earth and vegetation. The best preserved tombstones are in the P part of the cemetery.
