Verstaminai II mound
Verstaminai II mound is located on a separate hill not far from Verstaminai I st and Verstaminai III rd mounds. In the past, the mound was saddle-shaped, with steep slopes, 5-6 m high. At the top there is a area approximately 25 m in diameter. At the eastern and western ends of the mound are 3-5 m high ramparts. Lower ramparts used to surround the edges of the site but have now been removed. The ancient settlement is located at the south-western foot of the mound. In the 1970s and 1980s, exploratory excavations were carried out here, which led to the discovery of shards of moulded pots with rough surfaces. The archaeological complex of the mound and settlement dates back to the second half of the 1st millennium.
