St. Trinity Church of Rumbonys

Built in 1795 The small wooden church is a form of folk architecture, has elements of classicism, is boxless, rectangular in plan, hall, with a portico of six columns. In 1913, on the advice of A. Žmuidzinavičius, or perhaps according to his design, the interior walls were decorated with stylized folk ornaments. Many people notice that it is like a small wooden copy of the Vilnius ArchiCathedral.
In the cemetery of the village of Rumbonys, you can see the white marble tombstone of Countess Juzefa Korevaitė, declared a monument of art. It is still known that this tombstone was created by the famous Warsaw sculptor Pijus Velionski, looking at the surviving photo of Jusefa, who died in 1908. Nearby, we can also climb the Rumbonys mound, from which, if we believe the legends, an underground tunnel led to the Punia mound on the other bank of the Nemunas.

On the stairs of the building next to the church, there is a sign indicating one of the gravimetric points of the Republic of Lithuania. The gravimetric basis is used for detailed studies of the gravity field and for determining the variation of the gravity field over time.
