Monument to the Grand Duke Vytautas in Raižiai

The monument to the Grand Duke Vytautas was built in 2010, in one of the oldest settlements of lithuanians tatars – in Raižiai (Alytus District). Under the monument capsule was admitted with a message for future generations, which contains information about the importance of the Battle of Grunwald, the Great Duke Vytautas and the Tatars history. There are also two sundials in Raižiai. One of them shows the local time, the other – time of Battle of Grunwald. Monument’s author Jonas Jogėla, sundials author Jonas Navikas.
