Gumbeliai Mound
The mound is located on the southern edge of a separate hill. The length of the hill is about 350 m in the north-south direction, and its width is about 145-180 m. The shape of the mound resembles a truncated cone. The western slope is the highest at more than 20 m, while the other slopes are 7-9 m high. The northern slope is the most sloping and lowest. The slopes are flatter and steeper in the upper part. The site is oval, elongated in a north-east-south-west direction, 18 m long and 11 m wide, enclosed by a rampart 0,6 m high and 7 m wide. Its southern edge is slightly lower. On the south and east sides, 1,5 m below the rampart, there is a 4 m wide terrace. It dates back to the 1st – 2nd millennium BC.
