The Mikyčiai Mound
The mound is located on a separate hill. The site is oval, elongated in a north-south direction, 26×22 m in size, with a convex centre. There is a 3,5 m wide terrace on the southern slope, 2 m below the site, and 1,5 m below on the northern slope. The slopes are moderately steep, 8-10 m high. The mound is covered with gravel pits and ploughs, now under cultivation, with birch and pine trees on the northern slope. There is a settlement on the north-western and eastern foot of the mound, covering an area of 0,2 ha. The mound dates back to the 1st millennium.
