Verstaminai I Mound
The mound is located on a separate hill on the eastern shore of the drained lake. The site is slightly irregularly circular, 17 m in diameter, and is surrounded on all sides by a rampart 127 m long, 28 m wide, 3 m high in the south-west and 4,5 m high in the north-west. The slopes are moderately steep, 7-10 m high. In the southern part, the embankment has been excavated by draining the water accumulating on the site. A cellar pit has been excavated on the northern slope of the rampart. The mound is overgrown with thinned trees. The area of the mound with the settlement is 1,16 ha. The mound dates back to the 1st millennium – the beginning of the 2nd millennium.
