Verstaminai III Mound

Verstaminai 3rd Mound is located 0.6 km north-west of Verstaminai 1st Mound. Its slopes are steep, 12-15 m high. At the top there is a 26 m long and 8 m wide area without fortifications. The ancient settlement is located at the southern foot of the mound. Both the mound and the settlement have been ploughed for a long time, which has eroded the cultural layer. Archaeological investigations in the area of the mound have revealed the shards of several moulded pots with a rough surface. The archaeological complex of the mound and the settlement dates back to the 1st millennium.
